Her winding path began in Vietnam, where she was a quiet, bullied child. After arriving in the United States at age 11, the introverted teen turned to writing to express her feelings.

Her adoptive mother had come with Tran to the U.S. and was her rock as Margaret learned a new culture, went to school, married, and became a mother. After Margaret lost her mother in 2012, she fell into a deep depression.

Her mother’s death affected her family, relationship with her husband and took such a major the emotional toll on her. She broke down physically, mentally, and spiritually. She had suicidal thoughts everyday.

For 4 years in the depression, an inner healing journey helped her recover so that she could be more present for her family. That growth process also inspired her to become a writer and to guide others seeking to regain a sense of purpose and happiness.

Tran resides in Frederick, Maryland with her loving husband, two beautiful children, and three spoiled dogs.
